“We would like to welcome Tyron to the West Virginia football program,” Holgorsen said. “He was an outstanding receiver and returner when I coached him at Houston so he brings an excellent understanding of our offensive system. He also brings a good knowledge of the Big 12 Conference.”
He comes to West Virginia after serving as an offensive graduate assistant at Baylor in 2015, working with the Bears’ receivers and returners. The Bears boasted one of the top receiving corps in the nation, led by Corey Coleman, a unanimous All-America selection and Biletnikoff Award winner.
“I am excited for the opportunity to come to an outstanding school like West Virginia, to work for Coach Holgorsen and be a part of his coaching staff,” Carrier said.
