MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Rising senior Nate Carr represented the West Virginia University swimming team in the 400 individual medley on the first day of the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials in Omaha, Nebraska, on Sunday. Carr placed 78th.
In Sunday’s first day of competition, Carr placed 78th overall in the men’s 400-meter individual medley with a time of 4:32.62. He competed in the sixth of 10 heats.
“Nate has done a good job making a change in his racing of the 400 individual medley this summer, but today he was out a bit too fast on the butterfly and it caught up to him on the second 200 meters,” WVU coach Vic Riggs said.
