MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University rising senior Nate Carr swam a personal-best time in the 200-meter individual medley at the U.S. Swimming Olympic Team Trials on Thursday, in Omaha, Nebraska.
On the fifth day of the eight-day Olympic Trials, Carr finished second in his heat and 30th overall with a time of 2:03.44. He improved on his seed time by 0.39 seconds. A total of 89 swimmers competed in the event.
“Nate had a very strong swim today,” WVU coach Vic Riggs said. “He made some great adjustments from his first swim and finished today's 200 IM with a lifetime best time of 2:03.
