MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Days removed from earning the Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy as the NCAA’s top women’s soccer player, four-time All-American Kadeisha Buchanan has signed a contract to play with Olympique Lyonnais.
The reigning UEFA Women’s Champion League champion, Lyon recently also signed United States National Team standout Alex Morgan. A native of Brampton, Ontario, Buchanan flew from the Hermann Trophy presentation in St. Louis, Missouri, on Saturday, to meet up with her new teammates on Sunday. She will participate in a team medical evaluation today.
“I’m constantly talking about that success Kadeisha has accomplished throughout the last four years, and signing with Olympique Lyonnais is another huge accomplishment,” Mountaineer coach Nikki Izzo-Brown said.
