Buchanan Misses Out on Honda Cup

In her final run at an award as a collegiate athlete, Kadeisha Buchanan finished as a finalist for the 2017 CWSA Honda Cup, the award given to the most prestigious collegiate female athlete. Buchanan qualified for the award when she was named the Hermann Trophy Award winner as the best female collegiate soccer player in January.

The winner of the Honda Cup was Stanford's Katie Ledecky, who won five gold medals at the 2016 Olympic Games and still holds three world records.

The Honda Cup would have looked nice on the mantle next to her MAC Hermann Trophy, Olympic bronze medal, FIFA Women's World Cup bronze medal and Best Young Player Award from the 2015 Women's World Cup.
