MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia announced Friday that a pair of coaches with previous ties to the Mountaineers are joining Neal Brown’s support staff.
Bill Legg is joining the program under the title of assistant to the head coach, and Jeff Casteel is returning to WVU as a defensive analyst.
Legg was a four-year starter at center for the Mountaineers from 1981-85, and was in Don Nehlen’s first West Virginia signing class. He was most recently the offensive coordinator at FCS Mercer, and was Marshall’s offensive coordinator from 2010-17.
“Bill is a great addition to our football staff, not only with his years of successful football coaching experience but also being from the state of West Virginia,” Brown said in a school release.
