The NCAA has granted Neal Brown and the West Virginia Mountaineers another gift just before the start of the season as they ruled today that former Temple Owl wide receiver Sean Ryan is immediately eligible. Ryan transferred to the Mountaineers in May after the Temple Owls needed to find a second head coach in two weeks. Manny Diaz, the former Texas Longhorns defensive coordinator accepted the head coaching job but then immediately resigned upon the resignation of Mark Richt at Miami. Diaz had been set to succeed Geoff Collins, who left to coach Georgia Tech.
