According to a report from 247Sports’ Chris Anderson, All Big-12 safety Kenny Robinson has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal. Robinson, a mid-level 3-star recruit from the Pittsburgh area, has excelled in his two years starting for the West Virginia Mountaineers. Robinson was thrust into the starting role when then safety Dravon Askew-Henry was rehabbing from a knee injury. Former defensive coordinator Tony Gibson liked Robinson’s moxie and toughness, he threw the Pittsburgh native into the fire.
Robinson was a natural fit for the 3-3-5, intercepting 3 passes as a freshman - a game-saving pick against Kansas State and two that he returned for touchdowns.
