Brault Places 42nd in Triathlon at Rio Olympics

Held in Fort Copacabana, Brault finished the women’s triathlon 42nd overall, crossing the finish line with a time of 2:04.28. The triathlon consisted of racing in a .93 mile (1.5km) swim, 24.8 mile (40km) bike ride and a 6.2 mile (10km) run.

Brault was joined by two other Canadian women triathletes, Kristen Sweetland and Amélie Kretz.

In 2013, Brault graduated WVU with a bachelor’s of business administration in economics and finance. She finished her collegiate career as a Mountaineer, where she earned Second Team All-America honors in the 10,000 meter, was named to the All-Big 12 and All-Big East teams, was a CoSIDA Academic All-American and was selected to the Capital One Academic All-District First Team.
