A recurring theme for this season has been strong spurts, followed by lackadaisical effort and then recovering just enough to win the game. Last season we saw some similar things, strong first halves followed by a total collapse in the second half.
Against Boston, the second half would be different.
This time it would be a complete second half.
West Virginia started the game with a 20-5 run prior to the under 12 minute timeout at 11:05 in the first half. Boston come off of life support to put up a fight in the last 11 minutes, going into the half the score was 36-23.
