Press Virginia Wears Down Marshall | WVU Athletics West Virginia’s full-court pressure eventually got to Marshall. The 20th-ranked Mountaineers produced 19 turnovers and held the Herd scoreless from behind the arc in the second half to pull away with an 84-67 victory Thursday night in Charleston.
WVU thumps Marshall 86-68 | Charleston Gazette-Mail Jevon Carter scored 15 points and Daxter Miles Jr. had 14 as West Virginia took advantage of a mistake-prone Marshall in the second half Thursday to capture its fifth Capital Classic in a row, winning 86-68 at the Civic Center.
