MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia and Pittsburgh will share the hardcourt in each of the next three seasons. The schools have agreed on a two-year extension to their original four-year deal.
The Mountaineers will host the Panthers in the 188th Backyard Brawl on November 13. The new deal kicks in during the 2021-2022 season when Pittsburgh will come back to Morgantown. WVU will then return the game at the Petersen Events Center the following year.
“We are certainly pleased to extend the men’s basketball series between West Virginia and Pitt,” WVU athletic director Shane Lyons said.
