MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — WVU has picked up some help in the secondary with the verbal commitment of Arizona transfer safety Scottie Young Jr. He announced his commitment to join the Mountaineers Saturday on his Twitter page.
Young entered the transfer portal exactly one month ago and he comes to Morgantown after playing three seasons for the Wildcats. He is reunited with WVU defensive backs coach Jahmile Addae. Addae coached young in Tucson during his freshman season in 2017.
Young was a three-year starter for the Wildcats.
