6-10 juco center reportedly commits to West Virginia

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia added its second basketball commitment in 24 hours when junior college power forward Andrew Gordon pledged Friday, according to a report from Scout.com.

A 6-foot-10 three-star recruit at Northwest Florida State, Gordon remains a raw prospect. He was a standout defensive lineman who only began playing organized basketball as a senior at Dunedin (Fla.) High School. After signing to play football at Garden City (Kan.) Community College, he shifted full-time to basketball and spent a year at prep school in Connecticut.

Gordon holds offers from Arkansas, Ole Miss, Memphis, Wichita State and Oklahoma, along with mid-majors La Salle, Rhode Island and Richmond.
