West Virginia has been playing at the Monongalia County Ballpark for a full year and have already opened up Season 2 on a high note.
WVU head coach Randy Mazey has been building this program from the ground up. Like Mazey, the Mountaineers have been in the Big 12 for the past four seasons. The WVU baseball team has been able to compete, around the middle of the road in the strong conference.
This year could be different.
Maze has already brought in some top recruits and some players have been able to make an impact in just their first year in the program.
