Already, the Mountaineers have beat the Jayhawks this season. Back then (Jan. 12), Kansas was the No. 1 team in the country and it was the first time the WVU basketball team beat the top team at the WVU Coliseum since 1983 when the Mountaineers knocked off UNLV.
Then, came Feb. 9 in Lawrence, Kan. The Jayhawks beat the Mountaineers by 10 points.
Of course, it’s hard for any team to go into Allen Fieldhouse and earn a victory.
In Kansas City, the Mountaineers will have to deal with, not only a great team, but another road-type crowd.
