HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Much of the West Virginia football staff, including head coach Neal Brown, visited Huntington High School on Wednesday to meet with prized five-star recruit Darnell Wright.
Highlanders coach Billy Seals confirmed the visit to MetroNews.
Though frigid temperatures cancelled classes Wednesday for Cabell County students, Wright came to campus to meet with Brown and the Mountaineers staff. Rated by Rivals as the nation’s No. 2-rated offensive tackle and 16th-best prospect overall, Wright owns a slew of offers from elite programs, including Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State and Oklahoma.
With national signing day next week, the 6-foot-6, 320-pounder is thought to be deciding between Tennessee, Penn State, North Carolina and West Virginia.
