MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- The Big 12 Conference released its 2017 Spring Commissioner’s Honor Roll with a total of 251 West Virginia University student-athletes making the list. The conference recognizes all student-athletes at its member institutions during each semester with a 3.0 grade point average or higher.
Of the 251 WVU student-athletes recognized by the Big 12 for their academic excellence, 58 registered a GPA of 4.0 in the spring semester.
The 58 Mountaineers named to the list with a perfect 4.0 GPA in the semester include: Tanner Campbell, Kyle Davis, Riley Troutt (baseball); Teyvon Myers (men’s basketball); Katrina Pardee, Marlena Schmidt, Bailey Thomas (women’s basketball); Brendan Ferns, Grant Lingafelter, Alejandro Marenco, Logan Thimons, Luke Williams (football); Brooklyn Doggette, Carly Galpin, Abby Kaufman, Julia Merwin, Jaquie Tun (gymnastics); Elizabeth Gratz, Jean-Pierre Lucas, Ginny Thrasher (rifle); Emily Deming, Louisa Morgan, Jacqueline Spiropoulous, Kaitlin Sullivan (rowing); Hannah Abraham, Isabella Coombes, Alli Magaletta, Easther Mayi Kith, Bianca St.
