MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- The Big 12 Conference released its 2015 Spring Commissioner’s Honor Roll with a total of 238 West Virginia University student-athletes making the list. The conference recognizes all student-athletes at its member institutions during each semester with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
Of the 238 WVU student-athletes recognized by the Big 12 for their academic excellence, 43 registered a GPA of 4.0 in the spring semester.
The 43 Mountaineers named to the list with a perfect 4.0 GPA in the semester include: Gary Browne (men’s basketball); Averee Fields (women’s basketball); Paul Millard (football); Lia Salzano (gymnastics); Ziva Dvorsak, Elizabeth Gratz, Thomas Kyanko (rifle); Alisha Brownfield, Whitney Chrisman, Anna Cokeley, Rachel Cokeley, Emily Deming, Elizabeth Duarte, Kaitlyn Eason, Audrey Geise, Morgan Leach, Louisa Morgan, Mollie Rosen, Melinda Sharon, Jacqueline Spiropoulos (rowing); Andy Bevin, Jack Elliott, Austin Stout (men’s soccer); Ali Connelly, Amanda Hill, Easther Mayi Kith (women’s soccer); Nathan Howells, David Palley (men’s swimming & diving); Amelie Currat, Katie Murto, Julie Ogden, Jennifer Rey, Emma Skelley, Haily VandePoel, Jenelle Zee (women’s swimming & diving); Hailey Barrett, Kaja Mrgole (tennis); and Amy Cashin, Corinne Kule, Allison Lasnicki, Renee Maisonneuve, Sydney Scott, Kelly Williams (women’s track and cross country).
