West Virginia is set to travel to four regular-season meets before beginning its postseason quest toward the NCAA Cross Country Championships in Louisville, Kentucky.
“Overall, the schedule looks very similar to past years,” coach Sean Cleary said. “We are always trying to ease into the season while we begin to train hard and culminate with the best chance to be in top condition come championships season. I feel this schedule allows us to do that.”
The Mountaineers’ season will begin at the Lehigh Invitational in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, on Friday, Sept. 1, serving as a preview for this year’s NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional course.
