West Ham's Karren Brady defends London Stadium to London Assembly

West Ham vice-chair Karren Brady has defended the London Stadium's suitability as a football venue.

Brady, the stadium operators and the Metropolitan Police faced two hours of questioning from the London Assembly's police and crime committee following crowd trouble at the ground this season.

West Ham's move from Upton Park to the former Olympic Stadium has been marred by violence in the stands, most notably at the EFL Cup match against London rivals Chelsea.

But while Brady said there have been "teething problems" she called for some "perspective."

Commander BJ Harrington, of the Metropolitan Police, said there had been six arrests at the Chelsea match and 18 in total at the stadium this season -- nine of them West Ham supporters.
