West Ham's beloved Upton Park as you've never seen it before... first pictures reveal scale of planned housing development

It is Upton Park – but not as you know it.

These pictures show the scale of the transformation planned for West Ham United’s former home after the club’s move to the London Stadium.

No less than 842 houses are to be built on the Boleyn Ground, with 18 buildings ranging from three to 13-storeys.

The work, which will see the site renamed Upton Gardens, will also feature a nod to the plot’s proud past, with a ‘legacy route’ planned which will celebrate the history of the ground.
