West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan has all but confirmed to talkSPORT that Slaven Bilic vetoed a potential deal for Scott Hogan.
The Hammers have been tracking the Brentford striker this season and held talks with the Championship side about taking the 24-year-old to the London Stadium this month.
But they ended their interest in Hogan after being informed by manager Bilic he was not an upgrade on his current forward options.
