West Ham United transfer news: Bournemouth reject opening bid for Harry Arter

West Ham have had an opening offer of £5 million for Harry Arter rejected by Bournemouth, according to reports.

David Moyes is a long-term admirer of the Republic of Ireland midfielder and is keen to bring him to the London Stadium this month.

However, according to The Sun, Bournemouth are said to be disgruntled with the Hammers’ opening offer of just £5 million – which they consider derisory.

Despite signing a new four-year deal in the summer, Arter has fallen out of favour under Eddie Howe and a move away from the Vitality Stadium would suit all parties.
