West Ham United have told Diafra Sakho that they will be willing to hand him a new contract if he continues to perform.
It comes less than two months after the striker spent deadline day trying to push through a move to French side Rennes, where he passed a medical without West Ham's permission.
Sakho has scored in his last three games for club and country - including a last-gasp winner against Swansea that gave Slaven Bilic breathing room.
The Senegal international's current contract expires at the end of this season and West Ham have been impressed by his professionalism.
