West Ham United sponsors Betway apologise to Michail Antonio over tweet

West Ham United's official shirt sponsors, Betway, have apologised for criticising Michail Antonio on social media during the club's Premier League opener against Chelsea on Monday night.

Antonio gave away a penalty in the 47th minute - which Eden Hazard converted - as the Hammers began their campaign with a 2-1 defeat at Stamford Bridge.

Irons centre half James Collins restored parity with 77 minutes on the clock, before striker Diego Costa scored the Blues' winner one minute from time.

But as Chelsea went a goal ahead, Betway posted from their official Twitter account: 'Antonio has been an accident waiting to happen in defence… West Ham fans will hope that's the end of the experiment.
