Manuel Pellegrini is at the top of West Ham’s wish-list to be boss next season, according to The Sun.
The east London club have had a turbulent season and are just two points above the Premier League’s relegation zone.
The club have reportedly put out feelers to see whether Pellegrini, who won the league with Manchester City in the 2013/14 campaign, wants to take over the Hammers with question marks surrounding the credentials of current boss David Moyes.
Pellegrini, 64, was on West Ham’s shortlist when Slaven Bilic was dismissed as manager, but the Chilean stayed at Hebei China Fortune of the Chinese Super League.
