West Ham United FC news: Manager latest as Paulo Fonseca holds talks with Hammers after David Moyes’ deal expires

Paulo Fonseca has held talks with West Ham as the east London club look to hire a new manager now David Moyes’ deal has expired.

Moyes’ contract ended at midnight on Sunday, the same day the Premier League season came to an end.

And it took just a few hours for the club to start talks with Moyes’ replacement, as David Sullivan met with Fonseca, 45, on Monday afternoon, according to The Daily Mail.

Fonseca, the Shakhtar Donetsk manager, has been linked with a move to the Premier League for a number of months, with Everton said to be interested in him before the appointment of Sam Allardyce towards the end of 2017.
