West Ham show impressive resolve in 2-2 draw at Liverpool

West Ham dug deep and came away from Anfield with a fine point in a 2-2 draw. After going behind early to a finely taken Adam Lallana goal, the Hammers fought back and actually went into the half-time break with a 2-1 lead. Dimitri Payet scored from a direct free-kick before Michail Antonio took advantage of some slack Liverpool defending to roll the ball home.

Thoughts turned to last season's win on Merseyside but they conceded early in the second half after Darren Randolph flapped at a cross. From there, they were under intense pressure for the rest of the game.
