West Ham United are following Russia national team captain Fyodor Smolov as they weigh up a £15million January move.
The 27-year-old striker, who plays for FC Krasnodar, has 18 months left on contract and is keen on a move to London.
Smolov has scored 11 goals in 13 games for club and country this season including two for Russia against Spain earlier this month in their 3-3 draw.
Despite facing Serghio Ramos, Gerard Pique and Manchester United's David de Gea, Smolov scored his first with a neat turn and finish before scoring Russia's third with an explosive snapshot from the edge of the box.
