West Ham have been set a capacity of 57,000 for the club's first Premier League match at the London Stadium against Bournemouth on Sunday.
The club expect to raise the capacity to 60,000, as originally planned, in the coming weeks, but Newham Council has agreed that it should be increased by 3,000 from 54,000 for this weekend's match.
The London Stadium Safety Advisory Group has identified, after the Hammers' first two home fixtures, that persistent standing in an all-seater stadium has posed a problem and will continue to monitor the situation before the capacity is further increased.
