West Ham 'ready to double Declan Rice's wages to huge £120,000-a-week after fending off Chelsea as they bid to keep their star man at the club'

West Ham are ready to double Declan Rice's wages in a new deal after fighting to keep the England midfielder at the club.

Rice had been strongly linked with a move to Chelsea this summer - with Frank Lampard an admirer of the player who was released by the club aged 14 – but West Ham’s £80million valuation proved too much for the Blues.

As it stands, the 21-year-old is under contract with the Hammers until the summer of 2024, but David Moyes keen to reward Rice for his commitment to the club and prevent any potential suitors from stealing his prized possession.
