Slaven Bilic disagreed with West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan after Gareth Southgate’s wasted trip to the London Stadium to watch Andy Carroll.
The 28-year-old was surprisingly left out of the squad for Saturday's 2-2 draw with West Brom and Sullivan said he hopes the striker is not called up for England’s games against Germany and Lithuania in March.
Carroll had hoped to impress Southgate and was disappointed to be dropped as West Ham refused to risk him following late fitness issues.
Unlike Sullivan, though, Bilic has no worries about Carroll’s workload were he to be included in the next England squad and invited Southgate back to east London.
