West Ham have touched base with former Watford boss Walter Mazzarri about replacing manager Slaven Bilic, according to reports in Italy.
Mazzarri has been out of work since the summer after he was given his marching orders by Watford.
But Bilic's poor start to the season has led to the Croatian's job being under threat and reports claim he could be axed in the coming weeks.
Mazzarri, according to TMW, has now been sounded out about taking over at the Hammers after their 3-0 defeat to Brighton on Friday.
