West Ham are in talks with Fiorentina over the sale of midfielder Pedro Obiang, according to reports in Italy.
The 24-year-old only arrived from Sampdoria last summer but struggled to establish himself as a first-team regular, starting just 11 Premier League games all season.
That has led to questions regarding his long-term future and it has been suggested that he could leave east London just a year after his arrival.
Now the Gazzetta dello Sport has claimed that Fiorentina have firmed up their interest in the Spaniard with a £5m offer.
That would represent a small profit on Obiang but it is unclear whether the Hammers will want to lose a member of their squad so close to the transfer deadline unless they have a replacement lined up.
