West Ham boss David Moyes has described Andy Carroll's behaviour against Manchester City as "inexcusable" and "unacceptable".
Carroll left the substitutes bench early during the Hammers' 4-1 home defeat against the Premier League champions last Sunday.
Moyes confronted the striker at the training ground the next day, and he was sent home and fined by the club.
In his Evening Standard column, Moyes admitted his anger with Carroll's actions, although he revealed the pair have now made peace.
"I was really disappointed in Andy," Moyes said. "I don't believe there was any excuse for what he did.
