West Ham defender James Collins pulls out of Wales squad for World Cup qualifier against Serbia

West Ham defender James Collins has withdrawn from the Wales squad preparing for Saturday's World Cup qualifier against Serbia in Cardiff.

The Football Association of Wales tweeted that Collins had been replaced by MK Dons' Joe Walsh.

There was no immediate explanation about the reason for 33-year-old Collins' withdrawal.

He is the second Wales casualty this week, with fellow defender Ben Davies having been ruled out of the Serbia clash due to injury.

Davies, who has started all three of Wales' 2018 World Cup qualifying games, suffered an ankle injury during Tottenham's Champions League defeat against Bayer Leverkusen last week.
