West Ham are set to 'reignite their interest in Sheffield United's John Egan by launching a £12m bid for the centre back in January'... after David Moyes missed out on signing the 29-year-old in the summer transfer window

West Ham are reportedly lining up a £12million bid for Sheffield United defender John Egan in the January transfer window.

Irons boss David Moyes wanted to sign Egan this summer, but the Blades opted to keep hold of him as they look to get back into the Premier League.

West Ham have not given up hope of getting their man, though, and are set to test the Championship club's resolve by putting in a substantial offer when the transfer window reopens, according to The Sun.
