West Ham 3-0 Southampton: David Moyes' side qualify for Europa League with sixth-place finish as Pablo Fornals double and Declan Rice strike earns comfortable victory over Saints

West Ham secured their highest Premier League finish for 22 years and a place in the Europa League with a 3-0 victory over Southampton.

The Hammers took the lead with half an hour played when Fornals drilled home following an Alex McCarthy save from Jarrod Bowen's effort. Just three minutes later he had his and West Ham's second after finishing off Vladimir Coufal's cross.

With a chance to move up three places to 12th still possible, Ralph Hasenhuttl's side tried to forge a second half comeback but were unable to break West Ham down as Declan Rice burst forward to add a third with less than five minutes to play.
