West Ham might have been 2-0 down at the time but many fans feel they should have been handed a way back into the game in the first half.
Chelsea defender Wesley Fofana seemed to grab hold of Crysencio Summerville inside the penalty area, and the Hammers debutant went to ground.
Referee Samuel Barrott declined to point to the spot - much to the ire of the London Stadium - but the incident was checked by the VAR team.
A statement from the Premier League Match Centre X account said in a post that the incident between Fofana and Summerville did constitute "sustained holding".
