Troy Deeney has clapped back at Rio Ferdinand for his 'nonsense' prediction that Manchester United will win only one of their final Premier League games.
Ferdinand expressed concerns over his former club retaining their top-flight status after suffering their 12th defeat of the campaign at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.
Ruben Amorim's men have dropped to 15th place in the Premier League table after James Maddison scored the only goal in United's 1-0 defeat by Spurs.
However, with 29 points after 25 games, and 31 points behind leaders Liverpool, the Red Devils are now only two spots above the relegation zone, sitting narrowly ahead of West Ham and Wolves .
