West Ham have checked in on summer transfer target William Carvalho, according to reports in Portugal.
The Hammers were heavily linked with the Sporting Lisbon central midfielder while the window was open but were unable to nail down the signing.
The transfer saga led to a war of words between the two clubs with Sporting president Bruno de Carvalho branding West Ham's owners, David Gold and David Sullivan, the 'dildo brothers'.
But despite the bitter fall-out, reports in Portugal have suggested that the Hammers are still tracking Carvalho.
The Correio da Manha claim that scouts from the east London club were present when Sporting drew at Moreirense this weekend.
