Tottenham and West Ham legend Martin Peters was called 'The Ghost'... he was like Dele Alli but better

When Martin Peters was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and his memory started to fade, his friends and former team-mates felt an urge to reinforce his legacy before it was too late.

Peters is one of English football’s forgotten treasures. One of the nine surviving heroes of 1966 and scorer of a goal in a World Cup final, something only two Englishmen have ever done.

With West Ham and Tottenham he won major trophies at home and abroad and he played deep into his 30s, scoring goals from midfield all the way.
