Thomas Tuchel refused to blame Edouard Mendy for the errors that cost his side three points at West Ham, but did admit the Chelsea goalkeeper's form has dipped recently.
Mendy tripped Jarrod Bowen to concede a 38th minute penalty that allowed Manuel Lanzini to equalise after Thiago Silva had put Chelsea ahead, and then in the closing stages the Senegalese keeper let in a cross from Arthur Masuaku at his near post, giving West Ham victory.
'Edou is dealing with a rough period. I don't know why exactly but he seems to have lost a bit of confidence,' said Tuchel.
