Steve Cooper admitted he was struggling to comprehend Nottingham Forest’s ‘unacceptable’ collapse against West Ham, which saw them concede four goals in 15 minutes in the second half at the London Stadium.
The game was goalless and finely poised with 20 minutes left, but when the final whistle was blown, Forest were on the wrong end of a 4-0 thumping.
‘It’s really disappointing,’ Cooper said. ‘I know West Ham had a lot of set pieces, but we never felt in great danger of conceding.
‘Actually, I thought we started the second half well and got the momentum.
