Slaven Bilic fears that there is no end in sight to Andy Carroll’s injury nightmares with the West Ham striker falling short in his rehabilitation from a knee problem.
Carroll has been sidelined for over two months with an injury suffered away at Astra Giurgiu that left his manager ‘fuming’. But Bilic’s anger has been turned to frustration with the 27-year-old making slow progress in his recovery.
Carroll will be absent from Saturday’s visit of Sunderland and a run of fixtures after with no specific return date set and the clock since his original injury ticking on to nine weeks.
