Reece Oxford is not Kylian Mbappe, says Slaven Bilic as he urges West Ham kid to get his head down after being nominated for Golden Boy award

Slaven Bilic has told West Ham youngster Reece Oxford not to think he is Kylian Mbappe after being nominated for the Golden Boy award - but to use it to improve.

Oxford, 18, is on a season-long loan at Borussia Monchengladbach but has yet to appear for the Bundesliga side, and there has been talk of cutting short his spell in Germany.

Paris Saint-Germain starlet Mbappe and Manchester United's Marcus Rashford are also among those who were shortlisted for the Golden Boy award.

Bilic hopes Oxford does not start to get ideas above his station and said: 'Someone recognised him to be nominated for the Golden Boy award.
