Real Betis CEO Ramon Alarcon has blamed West Ham for their failure to complete a move for Pablo Fornals on deadline day.
The Spaniard was set to say goodbye to the Hammers after five years of service, with Betis agreeing an €8million (£6.8m) fee for his services.
The 27-year-old has struggled for pitch-time this season - starting just four Premier League games under David Moyes - and was hoping a move to LaLiga would increase his minutes.
However, the deal was never confirmed in the end and Alarcon claimed Betis did everything they could, while insisting he has not given up on hope they can get the green light to complete the move.
