Newcastle were held at home by a resilient West Ham on Saturday as they slipped to fourth in the Premier League.
Callum Wilson opened the scoring after just three minutes in what was a superb start for Eddie Howe's side with Joe Willock also seeing a goal chalked off after just 37 seconds.
West Ham grew into the game and began to dominate the first half, and Lucas Paqueta fired home emphatically from a Declan Rice corner after 32 minutes.
It was a hard-fought second half, as Newcastle controlled the game, but the Hammers held firm to secure what could be a crucial point in their battle against relegation.
