Petr Cech calls for introduction of a SECOND goal line to give goalkeepers a fair chance on penalties as former Chelsea and Arsenal stopper admits VAR rules are 'beyond my understanding' in wake of Lukasz Fabianski's punishment at Leeds

Petr Cech has hit-out at VAR's penalty rules, suggesting a new solution after Lukasz Fabianski became the latest Premier League keeper to face a re-take.

Leeds went 1-0 up after six minutes against West Ham on Friday after Patrick Bamford was fouled by the Hammers keeper, with Mateusz Klich slotting-in at the second attempt.

Fabianski had saved his countryman's first try but, following a VAR check, was judged to have moved off his goal-line - triggering a re-take.

Alongside dodgy handballs and penalty decisions, the goal-line issue has been a consistent talking point so far this season.
